Ook...got my pay and then Sue and I went for an all-round shopping spree yesterday! Yay!
Hahakz...well, we were psyched! I'll skip the intro and go straight to the Orchard part la...We dropped at Somerset and went to Centrepoint 'cause Sue wanted to go into Perlini's Silver (or something like that...I wouldn't know 'cause I'm not interested). Then walked around for a bit but there were hardly anybody there, so I have to admit it's a bit boring shopping with nobody around. Went to Times and bought some magazines. Then we went down and shopped for a bit at Urban Warehouse. Bought a nice denim top and a skirt. Hmm...then what ar? I can't remember, but I know by the time we got to Surfbabe at Wisma, we were a bit bored (okay, so I was freaking bored 'cause Sue hasn't bought anything yet!)...hahakz...she's a REALLY choosy shopper, and I told her, if she doesn't get anything for herself, and I got bored, I'll splurge on another top in surfbabe. Hahakz...so we went to Takashimaya and there was this sale. FINALLY! she bought for herself two T-shirts...tak nak kalah...Converse and Kappa you know...class...and then we met Futien, who, I might add, had a little trouble getting there (since when is Esplanade in Orchard?)...
Hahakz...then we dragged him over to some surf shops (Sue suddenly went crazy for more shopping) and then it was Jack's turn to get lost...really lost...so we sent Futien to go fetch him. And my feet were aching! Walking around with Sue is no joke! She can't make up her mind! What's up with you, woman? And then the guys arrived, Sue bought another top and we went to Far East. Walked around for a bit and we bumped into Khaymar! *Scream* Hahakz...if we knew earlier her flight was today, we'd have asked her out with us! hahakz...we took a polaroid (a polaroid, not neoprint! Trendy, eh?) and then she said she had to go...
So then we went up to Sakura to eat and bumped into Hambaly, Adi, Iman and Fadhirul...hahakz...the food wasn't that bad though...hahakz...
K...then we went to CK Tangs and then we went back to Wisma...hahakz...crazy...hahakz...

Well, as he's on MC for about 8 days or so, I won't be seeing him at work then. *sob* And yes, I really miss him. It's just not the same, I mean, I see Fadli and Ismail and I think of Faizal 'cause he usually hangs around with them. And then I start to think about those times when he WAS there, and when we were having fun (shocking, I know).
The first time I remembered talking to him was in the RTT Room when he was folding boxes with Senget (that's not his real name, mind you). I went in to take some regular pan boxes to top up my cut table. At that time, Senget had a 'thing' for Sue *shudder* and when I went in, he asked me, "Sue tak kerja?" (Sue not working?) and I replied, "Tak lah. Eh, dier seram kat kau sei." (No. Eh, she's afraid of you.) Senget was like, "ha? Seram kat aku? Nape?" (Afraid of me? Why?) I just shrugged (difficult task since I had a stack of boxes in my hands). Then Faizal suddenly said, "dier seram kat aku?" (Is she afraid of me?) And I think I was blushing, but I know I was smiling when I said, "ha? Oh, tak lah..." (no la...) and shook my head. He grinned and he was so cute! I LOVE his dimples, it drives me nuts! And that same day, when I was going home, Faizal was just starting his bike to go for a delivery, and I waved at him and yelled out, "bye!" and then I spotted Senget....hahakz...and I told him, "kau jangan kacau Sue!" (You don't disturb Sue!)...*blush*
Well, there was this period of time when I was working morning for a few days straight (part of the whole training process I guess), and he's a regular morning rider. Hahakz...I remembered that once I was REALLY free for about 2 hours or so, and I was just standing around doing nothing. Entertaining Han Xiong (he was dispatching, but sadly he resigned) was fun, but with one person, it get's a bit quiet. So he went to the RTT Room to help fold boxes, and I was left with yet again, nothing to do. Then Prem told me to help fold boxes, and I've never done that before, so I went in and sat there and just picked up some cardboard shapes and the bases and then started folding. And yes, Faizal was in there, folding boxes as well. I sat facing away from him and there was a stack of personal pan boxes blocking us anyway. Well, then Han Xiong asked me where I lived and all, we were talking. And then Wei Min (I think) stood up and took a plastic bag. And I knew he what he was going to do, but I asked Han Xiong just to be sure. Then I shrieked, and Faizal peeked his head to look. But I was covering my ears and running out to the toilet...(what a shit thing to do) and when I came back everything was like...calm again and I was laughing until Daniel asked me, "what happened?"
Then there was this time where it was in the morning, about 11.30 like that and I was damn stressed 'cause the orders were piling up. I was in a HUGE rush and I took some boxes from RTT room, and I could hardly see where I was going, but I passed by Faizal, and I heard him say, "hi..." I think i just went "hmm..." in return, and then when I was packing the orders, it dawned on me. Shit, I forgot to say hi back to him.
But then he was doing wash (I think it was his first time) and he was quite lost...hahakz...he didn't know where to arrange the spatulas, knives and forks, and he asked me, "Ni letak kat mane?" (This one put where?) and I said, "bawah cut table" (below cut table) and he literally put all the untensils there, and I laughed. "Yang tu kat depan," (That one's in front) I said, indicating the forks, spoons and knives and refering to the Front Of House, and he was smiling sheepishly. "Letakkan..." (Put for me...) he said, and I just grinned and helped him with it. Then he finished washing the cutting boards and again (even after so long) don't know where it's supposed to be. "Yang ni?" (This one?) he asked, and I laughed again this time, I just signalled for him to just hand them over to me. Instead to walking up to me, he just stayed there and held it up, so I had to get off the aux table (I was sitting there all the while) and take it from his hands...*blush*
Then Daniel and I were talking, with him sitting on the cut table in front of me (I was sitting on the aux table again) and then Faizal came with more plates and again, he was lost. So I helped him out, told him the aux plates is below cut table, and then Daniel said, "Oi! That one in front!" and I was laughing 'cause it was so funny! Faizal just said, "Relax ar...er...Siti letakkan, boleh?" (Can you put for me?), and I was going to when Daniel said, "Eh, you don't bully my crew you, do yourself" and i couldn't help but laugh again. It was so fun! I remembered how he ALWAYS came in to steal some cinammon breadsticks when I was doing aux, and I'd let him and just smiled. One time, I said, "ar...curi lagi" (steal again...) and he just smiled. And there's this once where Hafiz was doing cut or something and then Faizal came in and steal cinammon breadsticks, and then Hafiz said, "Ar...ar...mengurat anak dara orang jer eh..." (disturb people's daughter only eh...)
And then one time, Prem wanted to test me on my procedures, so he asked me to make a personal pan super supreme, and so I did one for him, and downed it in the oven (what else DO you do with a made pizza?). And then I cut it but since I HATE vegetables, I was really lazy to pick them out of the pizza and just left it aside. Hafiz saw it and he asked me whose it was, and I told him Prem asked me to make, and I think Faizah asked if I could finish it. I just shrugged, and Hafiz said, "taklah. Ni dier buat untuk dorang dua...share..." (No. This she make for the two of them...share...) and I just stood there, not saying anything but grinning like one idiot. And then Faizah asked, "sape?" (who?) and Hafiz said, "Tu. Dua tu..." (There, those two...) and was like signalling with his head towards someone behind me. I didn't even realise there was someone behind me until I turned and Faizal was there, smiling, and there were those dimples! *swoon* And there was once I was doing cut (I was working afternoon shift) and then Faizal was waiting for his order to be ready. He was leaning against the wall, and then Hafiz purposely shout out, "FAIZAL!" and I was thinking, shit you. Then I wanted to take a spatula from the insert but it slipped ('cause my hands were trembling) and almost fell but I managed to catch it. And then Hafiz said, "Ar...ar...Tengok, dier menggeletar!" (look, she's trembling!) and I was blushing like hell but laughing...hahakz...and then Faizal went off for delivery and I was taking the pizza from the over and putting it on the cutting board, but I was a bit slow ar...and Hafiz just shouted, "FAIZAL! Tolong cut pizza!" and I turned around but Faizal was out on a delivery.
*Sigh* Those great times!
Man, I miss him! And I just got to know that he's represented Singapore for the SEA Games before (that explains the jacket he wore the other day then...) if I'm not mistaken 'cause that's what I heard Fadli said, and he's been on TV before! On Suria, TGIF...hahakz...I didn't watch, heck! I didn't even KNOW!

Right, so birthdays are supposed to be fun, right? Happy and cheerful, but shit always happen on mine. 15th February...Well, Faizal met with an accident at around 1.30pm. He was working morning and my mum and I were out shopping. Sue was at work, so she pretty much knows about everything.
From what I heard, he got hit by a car who was doing an illegal U-turn (or so I think). Damn that idiot! And well, Faizal pretty much went back to JSB, and Omar sent him to the hospital. Sue told me something about...er...his finger meat dangling or something, and from what I heard from Prem today, when i was at work (I was VERY free for about an hour) that he had blood dripping (he made it sound gross). And i was just there sitting, listening to it all, and trying to imagine the scenario. And that poor soul fractured his left collarbone (if I'm not mistaken it's left), so he received 8 days MC. But thank god he's alright.
So at work today, I was pulling out the docket from the printer when this man came in and said something about "Mr. Fazil" and I was thinking "WTF?" so I asked Prem to entertain him. Then Faizah (she's strict though on procedure...), said to me "Your sayang nyer orang langgar" (the person who hit my dear). Then when he was gone, all of the guys were like, really talking bad about him. I was just there drinking water and listening. Fadli said something about "pancit his tayar with fork"...and then Zamri was saying something about "C.S.I", and then Hafiz said "ni bukannyer orang mati per. Jari jer patah"...and some more crap ar...
Then Prem noticed I was quiet, so he said "Nape? Sedih, eh?"
Hahakz...i was like, "Tak lah. Dier kan takde pape."
"Ye la...tengah SMS dier, eh?"
"Tak lah. Sue. Dier mane tahu aku nyer number?"
"Oh...so takde pape la ni..."
Hahakz...and then while I was at the make table covering up for Kak Sal's shift, Hafiz said to me, "Tau kan, Faizal accident."
I just nodded.
"Tak gi tengok dier?"
Hahakz...What a question. Then it was the busy period, and I was in a hectic mess 'cause I was doing aux and cut alone. Just then I heard Fadli's voice, and i was surprised since he went home already. I didn't bother to check ar 'cause I already had my hands full. There was a takeaway order for 10 piece drums, so I had to pass it over to Prem who was at the counter, and then I saw Faizal there.
OH MY GOD.
I'd stay and stare at him if the oven wasn't jamming up.
He looked even cuter when he's injured (is that possible?). And then when I was a little bit more free time, I took a peek and he was leaning over the counter to take a bottle of Pepsi (yes, we're ALL going to suffer from diabetes, but touch wood!). And I heard Zamri (Mr. Loudspeaker) saying "Kau dalah sakit!"
And then I went to Kak Sal to check on the dockets for aux items, and she said, "Tu dier, sayang nyer." I looked, and I can only see his back. He was wearing a jacket, but it's like draped over his shoulder, and it's only logical. The guy fractured his collarbone, man!
But then it got SUPER busy and I couldn't catch another glimpse of him (but I managed to mess up cutting a few pizzas and packing them wrongly). So when I was finally REALLY free, he's already gone...
*Sigh*
Working morning with Sue tomorrow...YAY!!...hahakz...

I hate changes. Changes are good, but i don't fancy them so much. Moving on from secondary school to working life is hard enough. It's a change I'm trying to deal with, and i'm dealing with it perfectly. It takes time, but having to go through another change, moving on to poly life, that's gonna be even harder. I've barely adjusted to me life!
I love work, and if you ask Sue, i'll bet she'll agree. It's not all about cute managers and really nice riders, it's really hard work. You stress yourself out to the max, you get pushed like hell sometimes and there are instances you just want to break down and cry. But it's those times you laugh and smile and joke around that make you fall in love with what you're doing. It's the people like Prem, Daniel, Faizah, Anisah, Nura, Hafiz, Dhumaika, Fatthin, Omar, Raj, Fadli, Sharul, Wati, Iskandar, Yanto, Din, Ismail, Faizal W (yes, I fancy him...*blush* :P)...
You love them all!
You don't want to let them go...
And now that you've stepped into my new world and hear about all these people, i guess it's safe to say the person i'm most attached to would be Daniel. He was there on my first interview, he smiled at me, he was friendly, he was patient, he really takes care of me. He listens when i ask him, he teases me now and then, he makes me smile, he's like a brother you really want. He taught me everything i need to know, about life, about work...everything. But he's leaving...and i hate that change. He makes work so much more enjoyable. He brings life, it's always complete when he's around. That's how fond i am of him...
We're all one cosy family. We've been through so much together...we've seen each others' flaws and blunders and conquered all the difficult tasks together. Sometimes there are tension when work gets tough, but it all blows off at the end of the day.
And i don't want that to change. Being new and all, Sue and i had the attention for a while, hahakz...and believe me, we enjoyed it a lot. It's the sort of thing you don't get in school. Back when we were still naive students, you just sort of blend in with the crowd. But at work, everyone's special. You have your own identity, your own strengths, and your own weaknesses and everyone helps one another. You sit in the RTT room one day and fold boxes with the riders while they talk about motorcycles and it fascinates you. You share a large pizza among the crew and you feel like you belonged. You sweep and mop the place while everyone's getting ready for closing, you feel united. You crap around with the managers and you don't feel awkward. But that's just what i love about everything. Life is so simple in the eyes of these people. You share the good things and you usually avoid talking about problems.
Sounds easy? Well, it's not.
You don't get spoon-fed all the time, you don't get pampered. Work is work. You don't pull in personal stuff because you'll soon realise the world doesn't revolve around you. As much as you see Hafiz and Dhumaika having PDA at work (and you'll cringe and look away), you don't see them discussing personal relationship stuff. Yes, Sue and I have a share of gossips and rumours. Like everyone knows i fancy Faizal, everyone knows Iskandar fancies Sue and maybe so does Shahrul, but i don't deny it's all for the fun of it.
And you think it's just about cute managers and loads of guys at work...think again...
